We absolutely loved our week in Turkey! Thanks for your welcoming and friendly spirit, your incredible knowledge of Turkey from ancient to modern times, and your effort and attention to every detail to make sure our trip was the best it could be. You were a fabulous guide!! The experience exceeded our expectations in every way. Three things will stay with us forever. First, the experience opened our horizons to Turkey–it’s critical place in world affairs from ancient to modern times, its diverse and hospitable people, and its charm and beauty–from its small Anatolian villages to its magnificent arts traditions, to the vibrance of Istanbul. Second, this is the first major trip we’ve taken with just the four of us, so was an incredible and memorable experience for us to share as a family. Finally, it was moving to experience the three religious traditions existing in peace and fellowship.
We can’t thank you enough, and will recommend you and Vanguard tours to all our friends–and let them know their next trip should be to Turkey!
Please also thank Mevlut and particularly Vural for their professional and outstanding driving! Vural should get a commendation for driving around Istanbul with all that traffic, including long drives in the evening to get us to various dinners–every drive was silken smooth and with a great attitude. If there was an award fro best driver in the world, Vural should get it!
Vickie and Onno, thanks to all at Vanguard for helping us to put together such a perfect itinerary, your patience in answering all our questions and attention to every detail while we were there. The Pera Palace was exquisite with top service; we loved it and would recommend it highly.
